Maya Peycheva

Maya Peycheva competed in the 2021 BMAB-ME #6 event in Northern Cyprus, placing 7^th with a PR of 4.29, the highest of any woman in the BMAB rating system. She is a member of the WBIF Tournament Committee.

She started playing backgammon in May 1994 and within two months won the Bulgarian Backgammon Tournament for Women in a field of 108 players. She has twice been the Bulgarian Backgammon Champion, winning more than 20 trophies in tournaments outside Bulgaria. She finished first in the 2018 Slanic Moldova, Romania Main Tournament, first in the 2014 7^th Cyprus Open Last Chance, first in the 2014 Cyprus Merit Tournament Super Jackpot, first in the 2013 6^th Cyprus Open Main Tournament, first in the 2007, London Open Last Chance...

Outside of backgammon, she was the Bulgarian Women’s Volleyball Champion in 1994.
