Carlo Melzi

born in Milan in 1974, I started playing backgammon in the early 90s. By the late 90s I was one of the best Italian players and reached one of the top positions on FIBS server. National successes include a bunch of Italian overall championships, international successes include winning the Oslo Open in 1999 and Paris PGT Open in 2008. I have lived in Washington DC for a few years in the early 2000s, getting to know the Beltway Backgammon club and its outstanding players. In recent years, I was a member of the World Team at Nordic Open 2012, 2013 and 2017, and I obtained my BMAB GM3 title in 2018. Never made to the 32 Giants, but have been a regular in the 33-64 spots
